Are you looking for a way to boost your pet’s overall wellness?

Do you feel like conventional veterinary medicine just doesn’t have anything left to offer your pet?

Are you looking for a form of medical care where you can be an integral part of the treatment plan as a pet parent?

Do you feel overwhelmed by your pet’s chronic health problems or challenging behavior issues?

Is your fur child nearing the end of their life and you need compassionate health care to help you (and them) through the last transitional phase of their life?

I can help! I’m Dr. Erika. I’m a holistic veterinarian trained in acupuncture, chiropractics, and herbal medicine as well as conventional veterinary medicine. I can help your furry family members achieve optimal wellness at home. With my mobile veterinary practice, help comes to you! This is ideal for nervous animals as well as for those who are very fragile or mobility compromised.

If you are looking for more intensive help with your pet’s end of life journey, including if you are outside of my service area, I do offer a course and personal coaching to help walk you through this journey. Check it out here.

Your house or farm is the ideal place for your fur family to be seen. I offer house or farm calls for cats, dogs, horses, and other animals (I’ve even treated hedgehogs, sheep, and a duck!) in the greater Salem and Keizer area extending out as far as McMinnville, Silverton and Mt. Angel, Dallas and Monmouth, to Adair Village and some parts of Corvallis.

My passion in medicine is for treating chronic or terminal disease and behavioral issues. I also offer excellent therapy for many of the conditions you think about using acupuncture or chiropractic care for (knee and back injuries, hip dysplasia, etc), and while I have excellent tools to manage and heal those conditions, I have found that this medicine really shines when gently treating chronic conditions.

When you need help walking through the journey that is end of life and palliative, or hospice, care, I can be there for you. By coming to visit you and your older fur child in your home, I can get an excellent feel for how their issues are affecting the family and what specific and unique challenges you might be having. It also reduces stress on them in this already stressful period as they don’t have to get up and go to the vet’s office to be assessed. There are many different anxieties that come up during this period of your companion’s life. I have years of experience helping many different families and pets through these last stages of life and can help you assess your pet’s quality of life, help to increase that quality, and provide compassionate assistance with decision making in the final difficult stages of caring for your pet.

I can’t wait to hear from you. Email or call now to set up a visit!

Prescription diets formulated for particular diseases seem like a really easy choice to help your pet with food, but are they as healthy as they are advertised to be?

My short answer? No. I virtually never recommend prescription diets, and I almost always try to transition pets off who come to me already on a […]
